Beech trees

Timber species

A strong, hardworking timber which really comes to life when sourced from parks and city gardens.

Having imbued soll pigments, the timber from these old city trees often includes flamed patterns - creating sought-after 'feature' furniture boards.

Spalting is also prevalent in beech. Caused by fungus, it creates amazing black lined patterns in the wood.
