We’ve just finished these beautiful walnut bedside tables, and they’ve got a lovely story behind them.
The walnut came from a tree planted at a family’s home in Islington when their children were young – a christening gift from a great uncle.
When the tree died in 2024, they asked if we could mill the timber and make something from it for their two grown-up daughters.
From the seasoned wood, we made four bedside cabinets, two of which are shown.
We love the thought that something that was part of their childhood will now remain by their sides as they continue through life.
