Where helpful, we can provide photographs of specific boards to help confirm suitability as part of an order.
To keep things manageable, we normally handle enquiries, photo requests and remote orders with a minimum order value of £150. Smaller purchases are welcome in person at our warehouse.
After we receive your enquiry, we’ll confirm availability and next steps for delivery or collection.

London plane wood is one of our most popular English hardwoods – strong, visually striking and increasingly sought after. Its distinctive flecking and bold medullary patterns give it an almost exotic appearance, making it particularly appealing for furniture and interior joinery where the surface is on show. It machines well and offers an impressive combination of durability and character.
Long planted in cities for its resilience, London plane adapts well to urban conditions and is notably tolerant of pollution. We source our London plane from trees felled in and around London, with all timber milled, kiln-dried and prepared by us. As a species rarely available at scale, it is valued for both its appearance and its provenance.

BUYING LONDON PLANE FROM US
The London plane we sell is not uniform, off-the-shelf timber. Most of it comes from trees felled close to London and milled by us. Every board is different.
As such, we list boards individually rather than selling by generic section sizes. Our live stock list shows each board with its dimensions, price and key characteristics, and is updated as boards are sold.
It's primarily intended for furniture makers, joiners and other trade customers who are comfortable selecting full-sized sawn boards. It enables them see what’s available before getting in touch and helps our small team respond efficiently.

We’re happy to provide photos where they help with decision-making. To keep the service manageable, we offer photo requests for selections totalling £150+ and send one set of images per enquiry.
ABOUT US
We mill, dry and prepare the timber ourselves, supplying characterful ash boards for furniture makers, designers and small-batch interior work.
We don’t operate as a conventional timber yard supplying uniform timber in volume.
Our ash is selected and supplied for furniture makers, designers and makers who want the material to play a visible role in the finished piece – whether that’s furniture, interior features or small-batch architectural elements.
