All boards are kiln-dried and rough sawn. Prices are ex-VAT.

Where helpful, we can provide photographs of specific boards to help confirm suitability as part of an order.
To keep things manageable, we normally handle enquiries, photo requests and remote orders with a minimum order value of £150. Smaller purchases are welcome in person at our warehouse.
After we receive your enquiry, we’ll confirm availability and next steps for delivery or collection.
ABOUT ELM
Elm wood is, in our view, the king of UK hardwoods. Today it is only available as a result of Dutch elm disease, which makes every board finite and precious – all the more reason to use it thoughtfully and well.
Its grain is unmistakable, often showing flowing figure, burr and natural movement, with bewitching swirls and deep rivers of brown and gold running through the growth rings. Used well, elm brings a quiet sense of grandeur to furniture and interior work.

BUYING ELM FROM US
The elm we sell is not uniform, off-the-shelf timber. Most of it comes from trees felled close to London and milled by us. Every board is different.
As such, we list boards individually rather than selling by generic section sizes. Our live stock list shows each board with its dimensions, price and key characteristics, and is updated as boards are sold.
It's primarily intended for furniture makers, joiners and other trade customers who are comfortable selecting full-sized sawn boards. It enables them see what’s available before getting in touch and helps our small team respond efficiently.

We’re happy to provide photos where they help with decision-making. To keep the service manageable, we offer photo requests for selections totalling £150+ and send one set of images per enquiry.
ABOUT US
We mill, dry and prepare the timber ourselves, supplying characterful ash boards for furniture makers, designers and small-batch interior work.
We don’t operate as a conventional timber yard supplying uniform timber in volume.
Our timber is selected and supplied for furniture makers, designers and makers who want the material to play a visible role in the finished piece – whether that’s furniture, interior features or small-batch architectural elements.
