ABOUT SEQUOIA

Sequoia wood sits slightly apart from the hardwoods we’re better known for, but it earns its place. Pale pinkish-brown to warm red in tone, with a straight, even grain, it offers a level of predictability that many makers actively seek.

As a softwood, sequoia wood is easy to machine and work by hand, holding clean lines without excessive tear-out. Its low density makes it particularly suitable where weight, stability and ease of handling matter, while still delivering a refined surface finish with minimal effort.

The sequoia we mill comes from large, well-established trees felled in and around London. As with much urban-grown timber, the boards can show gentle variation in colour and tone, but remain largely straight-grained and consistent, making them reliable to work with and easy to integrate into a wide range of applications.

ABOUT US

We work with trees felled in and around London, giving them a second life as high-quality hardwood timber. All milling, drying and preparation is carried out by our small team.

We focus on supplying characterful English hardwoods for furniture makers, designers and joiners who value material with a clear origin and visible story.
