Maple - Live Edge Boards

Exceptional kiln-dried field maple live edge boards sourced from a felled tree in Uxbridge.

Board A
Grade 2 field maple board featuring soft pink tones, contrasting steel blue streaks and a mixture of wavy and straight grain. Small knots and scattered pip and burr add natural character, while some splits, checks and soft rot spots contribute to its rustic appearance. The board has partial live edges on alternating ends, alongside sections of saw-cut edges, and two working faces. A low spot on the back can be sanded out during preparation.

Board B
This Grade 1 field maple board showcases soft pink tones complemented by distinctive steel blue streaks and a blend of wavy and straight grain. Natural knots, pip and burr create attractive character, while areas of spalting adds further appeal. The board features two live edges and two working faces. Some soft rot spots are present.

Board C
This Grade 2 field maple board displays soft pink tones, steel blue streaks and a varied mixture of wavy and straight grain. Small knots, scattered pip and burr and areas of spalting enhance its natural character. Some splits, checks and soft rot spots are present. The board has two live edges, with a 30cm section of saw-cut edge at one end, and two working faces. Three low spots on the back can be easily sanded out.

Thicknessed both sides as seen in images. The boards are marked A-C and priced for sale individually.
