This summer we partnered with STORE Projects, a brilliant Camden-based non-profit helping young people from local state schools explore careers in design, art and architecture.

Their summer school students visited our workshop to learn how we reclaim London’s felled trees and mill them into timber. Together we selected some cedar timber that went on to become part of their bench design for Camden Council – unveiled during this year’s London Design Festival.

The project brought together waste materials from across King’s Cross, alongside the creativity of Camden’s young people, to reimagine what public furniture can be – sustainable, bold and rooted in the community.

We loved being involved – supporting the next generation of designers while finding new ways for London’s trees to live on in public spaces.
