Standing outside No.10 Downing Street – in 33-degree heat – representing our small but mighty business.
Patrick was invited to a reception at Downing Street yesterday, hosted by Chancellor Rachel Reeves, to celebrate the small businesses shortlisted in the Small Awards 2025.
We were among them – in the 'Net Hero' sustainability category – for the work we do turning London's felled trees into sustainable timber and furniture. We attended the awards ceremony last month, hosted by the one and only Sue Perkins.
The Small Awards are run by Small Business Britain which champions the UK's 5.5 million small businesses. They're the team behind Small Business Saturday and The Lilac Review, an independent review tackling inequality faced by disabled founders across the UK.
What a treat to be among the people behind so many amazing businesses – small today, but in future... who knows?
